Cases on fraud

A fraud is a deception made for personal gain. Fraud is a crime and it is also a civil law violation. Defrauding people of money is presumably the most common type of fraud. Fraud can be committed through many methods including mail, phone and the Internet.

It can be:

  • academic fraud - the falsifying of research findings

  • intellectual fraud - signifies falsification

  • journalistic fraud - implies a similar notion, the falsification of journalistic findings.

E-mail fraud

Almost as soon as e-mail became used widely, it began to be used to defraud people. A naive individuals put their confidence in get-rich-quick schemes and lose their property. Fraudsters are sending e-mail messages or posting Web site information that is accessible from anywhere in the world.

How to avoid this? Don't be so trustful.

All institutions of justice , including police department are trying to fight with this. Don't be indifferent - report such crimes to the police.
