Listening (2)

CHILDHOOD OBESITY

It is a talk of native speakers. It wasn't difficult to listen to this conversation for me, but I have listened to it twice because it was intresting. However, I found some unknown words.

It is a speech of a native speaker. I have listened to this speech twice.
Vocabulary wasn't very difficult because the topic is about the words we use for naming body parts. However, the speaker sometimes talked too fast.

Conditions in Lithuanian prisons

To begin with, I would like to say that a prisoner is the same person as you. However, he has a problem. He made a mistake in his past. But everyone must have a chance to begin everything from the start. There are correctional institutions and a prison in Lithuania to give prisoners that chance.

In the area of a correctional institution there must be a shop, a barber, a library, a place for quarantine and a bathhouse. Everything what is necessary for human hygiene and learning.

Food it is served for adult prisoners 3 times per day, for juveniles 4 times per day. It must be fresh and in time.

In a prison cell there must be a bed, a shelf for books or other useful stuff and a table. Prisoners experience discomfort because they also have a toilet in the same cell. The cell must have 5 square metres or more space for one person.

Staff is the most important part in a prison. They must have enough tolerance, strong personality. They must be honest, patient and open-minded. In the prison must work enough psychologists and social workers.

Prisoners must be busy all day. For that reason they have all conditions for work which is the most suitable for them. They can draw, sew and do everything what is not dangerous or bound.

Prisoners also have a right to make calls, to send and get letters, to see relatives or friends. But they have no freedom which is the most important in humans life.
